Ainsley Hansen is the Head Designer & Creative Director of Australian label, HANSEN & GRETEL.

Graduating in 2008 from FDS Hansen marked her foray into the fashion industry with her graduate range at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2009. Quickly garnering the attention of industry influencers, she worked alongside reputed Australian designers like Gary Bigeni and Josh Goot, whose design philosophy & guidance inspired launching eponymous label, HANSEN & GRETEL.

Welcomed by the industry and public with immediate success, HANSEN & GRETEL opened their doors to a Sydney flagship store in 2014. HANSEN & GRETEL presents a bold fusion of masculine shapes with a femme sensibility. At its core, the collections are underpinned by a sartorial ease & effortless day-to-day wearability. The brand’s signature styling can be recognised through pairing sporty separates with sophisticated style classics.

Focusing on womenswear apparel and occasional leather accessories, Hansen describes her subculturally diverse brand as, “lifestyle-based, offering the feel of high-end luxury items in a slick interpretation of streetwear”. Hansen believes it is this undercurrent that spurs her constant state of evolution in style and creative vision for HANSEN & GRETEL.
